Underground tanks in various designs with one or more chambers with additional entry domes or connection flanges on the top of the tank and many variations of dome shafts, shaft covers or just shaft collars are used at petrol stations and industrial companies for the storage of raw materials and finished products. The containers are protected against external corrosion by a high-quality plastic coating (endoprene). The inside of the tanks is raw as standard. The double jacket is monitored with a vacuum. You can find an overview of possible accessories for the respective product: Underground storage tanks for AdBlue
Underground steel tanks according to EN 12285 can often only be used for the storage of substances hazardous to water if they are additionally protected by an approved coating. For these tanks with an inner coating, recurring tests are prescribed in compliance with extensive safety precautions. This additional effort can be avoided by using stainless steel.
For example, Dehoust offers a combination of stainless steel (inner container) and normal steel (outer container) for safe storage of the high-purity aqueous urea solution "AdBlue". This is a high-quality, low-maintenance solution with simultaneous cost savings compared to a complete stainless steel tank.
Dehoust produces tanks in this approved material combination according to DIN 6608/2 in sizes from 5,000 to 60,000 liters.
All parts in contact with the product are made of 1.4301 stainless steel. The stainless steel dome cover is equipped with flanges and sleeves for the intended fittings. Depending on the customer's requirements, the corresponding stainless steel fittings for filling and removal are included in the scope of delivery. Dome shafts are coated on the inside and are available in various accessible and drivable designs.
Leak monitoring is carried out with vacuum leak indicators. The outside of the tanks is protected with a PUR coating (factory-tested with 6000 volts).
The factory certificate confirms the high quality standard according to DIN and compliance with the requirements of the RAL GZ 998 quality association.
